今年暑假，我有幸参加了由香港中文大学主办的2023APRU ULP项目，与来自亚太地区各国的大学生一起学习和探讨可持续发展的话题。这是一次难忘的经历，让我收获了知识，友谊，和成长。

This summer, I had the honour to participate in the 2023APRU ULP programme hosted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I studied and discussed the topic of sustainable development with university students from countries in the Asia-Pacific region. It was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to gain knowledge, friendship, and growth.

首先，我通过这个项目，深入了解了可持续发展的概念，原则，目标，和挑战。我们通过线上课程，小组讨论，案例分析，和实地考察等方式，探索了可持续发展在不同领域和层面的应用和实践。例如，我们学习了如何评估一个城市的可持续性指标，如何利用可再生能源和循环经济来减少碳排放和资源浪费，如何平衡经济发展和社会公平等等。这些知识让我对可持续发展有了更全面和深刻的认识，也激发了我对未来社会的想象和创新。
Firstly, through this programme, I gained an in-depth understanding of the concepts, principles, goals, and challenges of sustainable development. We explored the application and practice of sustainable development in different fields and levels through online courses, group discussions, case studies, and field trips. For example, we learnt how to assess a city’s sustainability indicators, how to utilise renewable energy and circular economy to reduce carbon emissions and resource wastage, how to balance economic development and social equity, and so on. This knowledge has given me a more comprehensive and deeper understanding of sustainable development, and inspired me to imagine and innovate for the future society.

其次，我通过这个项目，结识了来自不同国家和文化背景的同学，建立了友好和互信的关系。我们在课堂上积极互动，分享彼此的观点和经验，在课外活动中相互帮助，共同完成任务，在闲暇时间中相互了解，分享彼此的兴趣和爱好。我特别感谢我的香港同学，他们对我非常热情友好，带我参观了香港的名胜古迹和现代建筑，介绍了香港的历史和文化，还请我品尝了香港的美食和特色小吃。他们也向我展示了他们对祖国的热爱和忠诚，让我感受到了中华民族的团结和力量。
Secondly, through this programme, I got to know classmates from different countries and cultural backgrounds, and established friendly and trusting relationships. We interacted actively in the classroom to share each other’s views and experiences, helped each other in extracurricular activities to complete tasks together, and got to know each other in our leisure time to share each other’s interests and hobbies. I am particularly grateful to my Hong Kong classmates, who were very warm and friendly to me. They took me on a tour of Hong Kong’s places of interest and modern architecture, introduced me to Hong Kong’s history and culture, and treated me to Hong Kong’s cuisine and special snacks. They also showed me their love and loyalty to the motherland and made me feel the unity and strength of the Chinese nation.

最后，我通过这个项目，培养了我的爱国意识，国际意识，增强了我的英语口语和沟通能力。在与外国同学交流时，我主动向他们科普中国文化和正确的领土观念，让他们认识到中国是一个历史悠久，文化多元，发展迅速的国家，并且坚决维护中国的主权和领土完整。同时，我也尊重他们的不同观点和立场，并且努力寻找共同点和合作空间。在这个过程中，我的英语口语和沟通能力得到了很大的提高，并且增强了我的自信心。
Finally, I have developed my patriotic consciousness, international awareness and enhanced my English speaking and communication skills through this programme. When communicating with my foreign classmates, I took the initiative to popularise Chinese culture and correct territorial concepts to let them realise that China is a country with a long history, diversified cultures and rapid development, and that I firmly uphold China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. At the same time, I respect their different views and positions and try to find common ground and room for cooperation. In the process, my English speaking and communication skills have been greatly improved and my self-confidence has been enhanced.

总之，2023APRU ULP项目是一次非常宝贵的学习和交流的机会。它不仅让我学到了可持续发展方面的知识和技能，并且拓宽了我的视野和思维，并且促进了我的个人成长。我衷心感谢香港中文大学和APRU组织提供这样一个平台，并且希望以后有更多类似的项目可以参与。
All in all, the 2023APRU ULP programme was a very valuable opportunity for learning and communication. It has not only enabled me to acquire knowledge and skills in sustainable development, but also broadened my horizons and thinking, and facilitated my personal growth. I would like to thank The Chinese University of Hong Kong and APRU for providing such a platform and hope that there will be more similar programmes in the future.
